Carry the affairs of the world

Sculpture - 2016

Protocol: Sculpture that questions the world through two opposing approaches: the reformist approach and the revolutionary approach.

This sculpture deals with international politics and is based on a reflection by Pierre Faucheux, French typographer and graphic designer. Look for a long time / Flash violently. It is a question of confronting the world with two seemingly opposing political approaches. That is to say the reformist approach and the revolutionary approach. Three plates are thus erected. The world in the center is presented in the form of flat areas. On the margins of it, a black plaque deals with the revolutionary approach while a white plaque testifies to the reformist approach. Pawns are placed on each of them in the same place. The forms remain the same, only the meaning influenced by the approach changes. Who will lead the game? The mystery remains.
