Protocol: Two spectators communicate via a metal pendulum in the manner of a telephone. The tension that builds up is the object of the work.
Hot War is an interactive installation. This installation physically engages the viewer to defend a subject through debate. One defends the calendar, the other defends interference. It is therefore at first sight not the debate that is essential but rather the psychological aspect encouraged by the mechanics of the work. It is a question of communicating through a metal balance like a telephone. So we can neither talk nor listen to each other at the same time. The tension that settles between the two individuals is the subject of this work's reflection. It questions our ability to generate and overcome conflict.
